In previous post we talked about the luxurious fabric and trend 'VELVET', today we're talking about another rich-looking styling tip: emerald green. Every woman loves diamonds, they're forever, but so are emeralds. They represent the color of rain forests, grasslands and it's one of the most seen natural shade.

This jade color has always been a trend, but since Pantone named it the color of the year in 2013, it became so famous that we see and can introduce it everywhere, in every space. From living- to bed rooms, also bath rooms and kitchens. Everything is possible. Not only with a piece of furniture in emerald, but also decoration items or an accent wall in the color, to create a warm atmosphere.
But why do we see it so much? And why can it be related to the velvet trend? Emerald symbolises richness, sophistication, elegance and luxury (just like the jewelry itself). And adding a touch of green in our interior creates peace, balance and harmony. Just what we love, right? 

And that's not all. Also think about the endless, unexpected, color combinations you can create with this green. The complementary color is red, so the lighter shades such as pink are a nice combination. Also together with all the monochrome lines such as black, white, grey, navy blue,... or natural shades, it will match perfectly. But talking about unexpected: yellow, purple and orange are great shades to combinate with emerald. You wouldn't think about that at the first time, isn't it? And last but not least: don't forget an accent of gold! Extra luxury for sure.
